The Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) House of Representatives candidate for Kaduna North, Alhaji Shehu ABG has predicted victory for the party in April elections.
A press statement by the CPC candidate issued in Kaduna, a copy of which was made available to our reporter, said the CPC has become a phenomenon across the country in less than a year, urging the people of the state to vote its candidate, Alhaji Haruna Saed Kajuru as their next governor.
According to ABG, the CPC is now on household name in Kaduna state, and is poised at winning the state in the forthcoming election since it has become the toast of the people yearning for positive change.
“Everywhere you go in Kaduna, the name on the lips of the people is CPC. Everybody who seeks to effect positive change in Kaduna must vote our candidate, Alhaji Kajuru as the next governor of our state,” he said. ABG said this was reflected in the inability of the leadership of the party to make the symbolic flag presentation to the governorship candidate as the mammoth crowd that attended the occasion became very ecstatic when Buhari arrived.
“The occasion was a great one, people came to the venue unsolicited and were very eager to see our leader. When he (Buhari) finally came, it took him about 3 hours to get to the Emir’s palace as the crowd scrambled to catch a glimpse of him.”ABG said.
He traced the growing influence of the CPC in the country to the exemplary leadership, which its Presidential candidate, Maj.-Gen Muhammadu Buhari demonstrated over the years, a virtue that has endeared him to the masses.
“Our party has been growing in leaps and bounds in the last one year because of the reputation of General Buhari who has connected himself to the people through hard work, humility and service,” he said.
